so yeah...I haven't blogged very much lately. Mostly it's because I don't have much time to sit and blog, but I haven't had too much to say lately either. So tonight it's 'yay' for random posting.
* Taco John's is not the worst place in the world to eat. If you can stomach the grease, it's occasionally quite good. The meat'n'potato burrito is quite tasty, especially with the crunchy chicken. It's actually making me kinda hungry now.
* I don't remember feeling this much discomfort so early on with my last pregnancy. The last few weeks have been a mix of sciatic nerve pain, round ligament pain, and lower back pain. On top of that, sometimes when I turn over in bed at night, I feel a stab of pain in the groin. I hit 25 weeks tomorrow...only 15 more to go.
* My kid is the most polite toddler I've ever seen. He usually says "thank you" when I give him something (a toy or a cookie) and we're working on "please." He even said "thank you" to the lady in the drive-thru at Taco John's yesterday.
* Then again, last night when reno was belching at will, B was imitating much to his amusement. He has also learned the joy of making fart noises with his hand. Oh, the thrill of having boys.

Baby's first haircut
Bobby got his first haircut last Friday. My cousin Jen, a hairstylist at a local salon, got the honors. His hair was getting so long in the back that it looked like he had a little baby mullet. Now he looks like a little boy again!
He really didn't care for it much, though. I had to hold him down after she started using the big-mean-hair-buzzing-thing...

Amazing what a pair of scissors and a hair trimmer will do!

Earache
I wish I knew what was up with my child screeching and squealing at the top of his lungs--whether he's angry or not. Half the time he can't speak what he babbles in a normal tone of voice. He has to scream it. It's enough to give me an earache after awhile!
We got all our stuff moved but we're far from unpacked. Bobby's crib isn't even put together yet, he's sleeping in a portable crib that the in-laws have. We managed to get all of our furniture in but the room is cluttered with a bunch of other stuff. I'm hoping to have most of it done by the end of the week but I am not holding my breath.

If you're happy and you know it...
My son is finally learning to clap his hands, after 2-3 months of prompting him. Mostly he would just giggle at us or put his hands over ours as we showed him how to do it. Today he started trying to do it on his own. It was funny because half the time he would miss and his arms would end up crossing over :)
It was sooo cute!
